Void as the oxygen of the building, Public space as the oxygen of the city

 

• The design is derived from an elongated cuboid, but its distinctive sloped shape is punctured in two main places by open space and garden for indoor and outdoor common areas.

• The open space enable abundant wildlife make great places to relax and rest especially during the flood relief period. • Limitation of indoor space and the maximization of outdoor space.

• The outdoor space constitutes informal social and teaching spaces at different levels based on the convergence of multiple functions.

 

Continuation of Circulation and Connection

 

• It is an extruded bit of territory, a both human promoted and self-growing canopy landscape.

• Spaces like classrooms, hall and workshop then softly curl up around playgrounds, open spaces and vegetated areas, increasing contacts and views.

• The boundaries of every space are expanded, basically filling all parts of the building volume, giving the social interface and every single student’s latitude, maximum priority.

• It create better air and light circulation, better accessibility and visibility and better communication between interior and exterior spaces.

• The massing is set in to allow common facility and to provide a common ground that filled with the promise of imparting knowledge to those who interact with it.

• The design helps in the sustainable development and learning experiences by promote the use of rainwater and greywater harvesting system that aid in the sudden increase of water demand during disaster period.

• It blurs the distinction between architecture and landscape through the complex fusion of the two and the sun shading device.

• The building aim tobecome an icon of the MPOB, projecting an image based on technological leadership and innovation.

• The design provide temporary accommodation for to the victims when flood happen. It introduces training center and farmer market as the main building program which can be converted into relief center

 

• It allow residents, students and disaster victims to form a new relationships from formal to informal education, luring the community inside while providing awareness through sustainable approach.
